The Angelus

V. The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary,   R:  And she conceived by the Holy Spirit.
PRAY:  Hail Mary, full of grace…

V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord,         R:  Be it done unto me according to thy word.
PRAY:  Hail Mary, full of grace…

V. And the Word was made Flesh,            R:  And dwelt among us.
PRAY:  Hail Mary, full of grace…

V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God        R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

LET US PRAY:  Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts, that we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may, by His Passion and Cross, be brought to the glory of His Resurrection.  Through the same Christ Our Lord.  -Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel Prayer

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him we humbly pray and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.  -Amen

Soul of Christ (Anima Christi)

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.   Body of Christ, save me.   Blood of Christ, inebriate me.

Water from the side of Christ, wash me.   Passion of Christ, strengthen me.   Oh Good Jesus, hear me.
Within Your wounds, hide me.   Separated from You, let me never be.   From the evil one, protect me.
At the hour of my death, call me.   And close to You, bid me, that with Your saints and angels
I may praise you  forever and ever.   – Amen

Come Holy Spirit

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of Your Divine Love.

Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created; and You shall renew the face of the earth.

O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit instructed the hearts of the faithful, grant, that by the same Spirit we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolations. We ask this through Christ our Lord.  – Amen

Commission of The Care of Soul and Body

“Deliverance Prayers for Use by the Laity” page 35

Into thy hands, Mary, I commend my body and my soul.
I ask thee to provide for them and to protect them.  I ask thee to protect them from the evil one.
I ask thee enlighten my mind, strengthen my will, and refrain my appetites by grace.
Our Lady and St. Michael, call down from Heaven the legions of angels under your command to protect me;
I ask of thee all the things I ask of my Guardian Angel.
My guardian angel, under thy intellectual and volitional protection I place my body.
I ask thee to illumine my mind and refrain my appetites.
I ask thee to strengthen my cogitative power, my memory and my imagination.
Help me to remember the things I should and not remember the things I should not.
Help me to associate the things I should and not to associate the things I should not.
Give me good clear images in my imagination.
I ask thee to drive away all the demons that might affect me throughout the course of the day.  -Amen.

Prayer Against Every Evil

“Deliverance Prayers for Use by the Laity” page 29

Almighty God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Most Holy Trinity, Immaculate Virgin Mary, Angels, Archangels, and Saints of Heaven, descend upon me.  Please purify me, Lord, mold me, fill me with Thyself, and use me.  Banish all the forces of evil from me, destroy them, vanquish them, so that I can do Thy Holy Will.
Banish from me all spells, witchcraft, black magic, malefice, ties, maledictions, and the evil eye; diabolic infestations, oppressions, possessions; all that is evil and sinful; jealousy, perfidy, envy; physical, psychological, moral, spiritual, diabolical ailments.  Cast into hell all demons working these evils, that they may never again touch me or any other creature in the entire world.  I command and bid all the powers who molest me by the power of God Almighty, in the Name of Jesus Christ our Savior, through the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary to leave me forever, and to be consigned into the everlasting hell, where they will be bound by Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Gabriel, Saint Raphael and our Guardian Angels, and where they will be crushed under the heel of the Immaculate Virgin Mary.

Prayer to Protect Faculties

“Deliverance Prayers for Use by the Laity” page 37

Lord Jesus Christ let your Precious Blood flowing from Thy wounded Heart cover me, my cogitative power, memory, imagination, common sense power, sensitive appetites, my sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell; (and any part of your body they are affecting) driving the demons to the foot of thy Cross where they may be judged by Thee.  In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  -Amen.

The Most Holy Rosary

† In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

The Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth, and in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord.  Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin, Mary,
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.  He descended into Hell.
On the third day, He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.  –Amen

Psalm 35

[1]Contend, O LORD, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me! [2]Take hold of shield and buckler, and rise for my help! [3]Draw the spear and javelin against my pursuers! Say to my soul, “I am your deliverance!” [4]Let them be put to shame and dishonor who seek after my life! Let them be turned back and confounded who devise evil against me! [5]Let them be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of the LORD driving them on! [6]Let their way be dark and slippery, with the angel of the LORD pursuing them! [7]For without cause they hid their net for me; without cause they dug a pit for my life. [8]Let ruin come upon them unawares! And let the net which they hid ensnare them; let them fall therein to ruin! [9]Then my soul shall rejoice in the LORD, exulting in his deliverance. [10]All my bones shall say, “O LORD, who is like thee, thou who deliverest the weak from him who is too strong for him, the weak and needy from him who despoils him?” [11]Malicious witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I know not. [12]They requite me evil for good; my soul is forlorn. [13]But I, when they were sick — I wore sackcloth, I afflicted myself with fasting. I prayed with head bowed on my bosom, [14]as though I grieved for my friend or my brother; I went about as one who laments his mother, bowed down and in mourning. [15]But at my stumbling they gathered in glee, they gathered together against me; cripples whom I knew not slandered me without ceasing; [16]they impiously mocked more and more, gnashing at me with their teeth. [17]How long, O LORD, wilt thou look on? Rescue me from their ravages, my life from the lions! [18]Then I will thank thee in the great congregation; in the mighty throng I will praise thee. [19]Let not those rejoice over me who are wrongfully my foes, and let not those wink the eye who hate me without cause. [20]For they do not speak peace, but against those who are quiet in the land they conceive words of deceit. [21]They open wide their mouths against me; they say, “Aha, Aha! Our eyes have seen it!” [22]Thou hast seen, O LORD; be not silent! O Lord, be not far from me! [23]Bestir thyself, and awake for my right, for my cause, my God and my Lord! [24]Vindicate me, O LORD, my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me! [25]Let them not say to themselves, “Aha, we have our heart’s desire!” Let them not say, “We have swallowed him up.” [26]Let them be put to shame and confusion altogether who rejoice at my calamity! Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me! [27]Let those who desire my vindication shout for joy and be glad, and say evermore, “Great is the LORD, who delights in the welfare of his servant!” [28]Then my tongue shall tell of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.

Psalm 37

[1]Fret not yourself because of the wicked, be not envious of wrongdoers! [2]For they will soon fade like the grass, and wither like the green herb. [3]Trust in the LORD, and do good; so you will dwell in the land, and enjoy security. [4]Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. [5]Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. [6]He will bring forth your vindication as the light, and your right as the noonday. [7]Be still before the LORD, and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over him who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! [8]Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. [9]For the wicked shall be cut off; but those who wait for the LORD shall possess the land. [10]Yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look well at his place, he will not be there. [11]But the meek shall possess the land, and delight themselves in abundant prosperity. [12]The wicked plots against the righteous, and gnashes his teeth at him; [13]but the LORD laughs at the wicked, for he sees that his day is coming. [14]The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows, to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those who walk uprightly; [15]their sword shall enter their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. [16]Better is a little that the righteous has than the abundance of many wicked. [17]For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; but the LORD upholds the righteous. [18]The LORD knows the days of the blameless, and their heritage will abide for ever; [19]they are not put to shame in evil times, in the days of famine they have abundance. [20]But the wicked perish; the enemies of the LORD are like the glory of the pastures, they vanish — like smoke they vanish away. [21]The wicked borrows, and cannot pay back, but the righteous is generous and gives; [22]for those blessed by the LORD shall possess the land, but those cursed by him shall be cut off. [23]The steps of a man are from the LORD, and he establishes him in whose way he delights; [24]though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the LORD is the stay of his hand. [25]I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging bread. [26]He is ever giving liberally and lending, and his children become a blessing. [27]Depart from evil, and do good; so shall you abide for ever. [28]For the LORD loves justice; he will not forsake his saints. The righteous shall be preserved for ever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. [29]The righteous shall possess the land, and dwell upon it for ever. [30]The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice. [31]The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip. [32]The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him. [33]The LORD will not abandon him to his power, or let him be condemned when he is brought to trial. [34]Wait for the LORD, and keep to his way, and he will exalt you to possess the land; you will look on the destruction of the wicked. [35]I have seen a wicked man overbearing, and towering like a cedar of Lebanon. [36]Again I passed by, and, lo, he was no more; though I sought him, he could not be found. [37]Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright, for there is posterity for the man of peace. [38]But transgressors shall be altogether destroyed; the posterity of the wicked shall be cut off. [39]The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; he is their refuge in the time of trouble. [40]The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked, and saves them, because they take refuge in him.

Psalm 55

[1]Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication! [2]Attend to me, and answer me; I am overcome by my trouble. I am distraught [3]by the noise of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked. For they bring trouble upon me, and in anger they cherish enmity against me. [4]My heart is in anguish within me, the terrors of death have fallen upon me. [5]Fear and trembling come upon me, and horror overwhelms me. [6]And I say, “O that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest; [7]yea, I would wander afar, I would lodge in the wilderness, [8]I would haste to find me a shelter from the raging wind and tempest.” [9]Destroy their plans, O Lord, confuse their tongues; for I see violence and strife in the city. [10]Day and night they go around it on its walls; and mischief and trouble are within it, [11]ruin is in its midst; oppression and fraud do not depart from its market place. [12]It is not an enemy who taunts me — then I could bear it; it is not an adversary who deals insolently with me — then I could hide from him. [13]But it is you, my equal, my companion, my familiar friend. [14]We used to hold sweet converse together; within God’s house we walked in fellowship. [15]Let death come upon them; let them go down to Sheol alive; let them go away in terror into their graves. [16]But I call upon God; and the LORD will save me. [17]Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and he will hear my voice. [18]He will deliver my soul in safety from the battle that I wage, for many are arrayed against me. [19]God will give ear, and humble them, he who is enthroned from of old; because they keep no law, and do not fear God. [20]My companion stretched out his hand against his friends, he violated his covenant. [21]His speech was smoother than butter, yet war was in his heart; his words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords. [22]Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved. [23]But thou, O God, wilt cast them down into the lowest pit; men of blood and treachery shall not live out half their days. But I will trust in thee.

Psalm 71

[1]In thee, O LORD, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame! [2]In thy righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline thy ear to me, and save me! [3]Be thou to me a rock of refuge, a strong fortress, to save me, for thou art my rock and my fortress. [4]Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man. [5]For thou, O Lord, art my hope, my trust, O LORD, from my youth. [6]Upon thee I have leaned from my birth; thou art he who took me from my mother’s womb. My praise is continually of thee. [7]I have been as a portent to many; but thou art my strong refuge. [8]My mouth is filled with thy praise, and with thy glory all the day. [9]Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent. [10]For my enemies speak concerning me, those who watch for my life consult together, [11]and say, “God has forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is none to deliver him.” [12]O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me! [13]May my accusers be put to shame and consumed; with scorn and disgrace may they be covered who seek my hurt. [14]But I will hope continually, and will praise thee yet more and more. [15]My mouth will tell of thy righteous acts, of thy deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge. [16]With the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD I will come, I will praise thy righteousness, thine alone. [17]O God, from my youth thou hast taught me, and I still proclaim thy wondrous deeds. [18]So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, till I proclaim thy might to all the generations to come. Thy power [19]and thy righteousness, O God, reach the high heavens. Thou who hast done great things, O God, who is like thee? [20]Thou who hast made me see many sore troubles wilt revive me again; from the depths of the earth thou wilt bring me up again. [21]Thou wilt increase my honor, and comfort me again. [22]I will also praise thee with the harp for thy faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praises to thee with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel. [23]My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to thee; my soul also, which thou hast rescued. [24]And my tongue will talk of thy righteous help all the day long, for they have been put to shame and disgraced who sought to do me hurt.

Psalm 91

[1]He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, who abides in the shadow of the Almighty, [2]will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” [3]For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence; [4]he will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. [5]You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, [6]nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. [7]A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you. [8]You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. [9]Because you have made the LORD your refuge, the Most High your habitation, [10]no evil shall befall you, no scourge come near your tent. [11]For he will give his angels charge of you to guard you in all your ways. [12]On their hands they will bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. [13]You will tread on the lion and the adder, the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot. [14]Because he cleaves to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. [15]When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will rescue him and honor him. [16]With long life I will satisfy him, and show him my salvation.

Psalm 140

[1]Deliver me, O LORD, from evil men; preserve me from violent men, [2]who plan evil things in their heart, and stir up wars continually. [3]They make their tongue sharp as a serpent’s, and under their lips is the poison of vipers. [4]Guard me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from violent men, who have planned to trip up my feet. [5]Arrogant men have hidden a trap for me, and with cords they have spread a net, by the wayside they have set snares for me. [6]I say to the LORD, Thou art my God; give ear to the voice of my supplications, O LORD! [7]O LORD, my Lord, my strong deliverer, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle. [8]Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked; do not further his evil plot! [9]Those who surround me lift up their head, let the mischief of their lips overwhelm them! [10]Let burning coals fall upon them! Let them be cast into pits, no more to rise! [11]Let not the slanderer be established in the land; let evil hunt down the violent man speedily! [12]I know that the LORD maintains the cause of the afflicted, and executes justice for the needy. [13]Surely the righteous shall give thanks to thy name; the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy

You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world.  O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of mercy for us,  I trust in You!

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of mercy for us,  I trust in You!

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of mercy for us,  I trust in You!

PRAY:          1 Our Father,                   1 Hail Mary‘s

The Apostles Creed:

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth, and in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord.  Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin, Mary,
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.  He descended into Hell.
On the third day, He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.  –Amen

PRAY:  On each Large Rosary Bead:

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son,
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

PRAY:  10 times, on each Small Rosary Bead:

For the sake of His Sorrowful Passion; have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Holy God,  Holy Mighty One,  Holy Immortal One,  have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Holy God,  Holy Mighty One,  Holy Immortal One,  have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Closing Prayer:

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

Jesus, I trust in You!    Jesus, I trust in You!    Jesus, I trust in You!

St. Benedict Prayer:

The Holy Cross be my light.   May the dragon never be my guide!   Get away, Satan

Never tempt me with your vanities!   What you offer me is evil.   Drink the poison yourself!”

Prayer Against Retaliation

“Deliverance Prayers for Use by the Laity” page 37

Lord Jesus Christ, in Your love and mercy, pour Thy Precious Blood over me so that no demon or disembodied spirit may retaliate against me.  Mary, surround me with thy mantle, blocking any retaliating spirits from having any authority over me.  St. Michael, surround me with thy shield, so that no evil spirit may take revenge on me.  Queen of Heaven and St. Michael, send down the legions of angels under your command to fight off any spirits that would seek to harm me.  All you saints of heaven, impede any retaliating spirit from influencing me.  Lord, Thou art the Just Judge, the avenger of the wicked, the Advocate of the Just, we beg in Thy mercy, that all we ask of Mary, the angels and the saints of heaven be also granted to all our loved ones, those who pray for us and their loved ones, that for Thy Glory’s sake, we may enjoy Thy perfect protection.  -Amen.

In nómine Pátris, X et Fílii, et Spíritus Sáncti.   -Amen
